October 2023 Casual Conversation-"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go."
Dated: October 10 2023
Hi, welcome to the October edition of The Casual Conversation. With Thanksgiving having just passed us by, I hope that you know that I am very thankful that you check in with me every month. I also hope that you had the opportunity to spend time with friends and family and let them know about all the amazing, thankful things that you have in your life, I would love to hear about them.
As we get closer to the end of the month we have a little spooky season coming on. Now I remember being a kid and living out in the country not having the opportunity to go trick or treating door to door just because I think it would have been a grand total of five houses if I had and I wasn't all that excited about candy back then, not that I'm excited about candy that much here, but I do love chips if anyone wants to bring me chips. I remember my mom doing something to make it special for me each and every year. We have hosted Halloween parties, my mom once took us out and we kidnapped our friends to bring them back to our place for a Halloween party, and we've also reversed trick or treated, which was a blast. When we rang the doorbell and said trick or treat, instead of taking candy, we actually dropped candy off for the people that were opening the door. I challenge you to do what you can to continue to make the season and Halloween just a little bit magical for kids out there. Sometimes we lose it, sometimes we get frustrated that the older kids or kids are stealing candy and it's important for us to remember that there's still some little kids out there that if you call them a princess, if they're dressed up like Ariel or they're dressed up like Barbie, you say, “Oh, hi, Barbie,” “Hi, Ariel” it just makes their fantasy world come alive and sometimes I think that we forget about the magic that kids see as we get older because we grow out of that. So my challenge this month for you is to see what you can do to make something magical for someone else. It doesn't necessarily need to be Halloween. It doesn't necessarily need to be the kids. But what can you do to bring magic to somebody else's life?
I thank you again and again for checking in with me every month, and I hope to see you next month. Have a great month, happy Halloween, happy Thanksgiving, and go outside, enjoy the fall. It is my favourite season between the slightly cooler weather, the colours, and it gives you the beauty starting things over again and things coming to an end and it's just one of those amazing seasons that we just kind of slow down and I appreciate it so much. And I appreciate the warmth that your home now holds for you.
I look forward to talking to you again in a month and I look forward to answering any questions you have about homes or houses or provinces or cities and I always look forward to helping those that you have connections with, please feel free to pass my name along. Have a great day, have a great October and I will see you guys all again soon.
